Today, Pingry is proud to launch its new strategic plan, The Pingry Plan. A lot has changed in the world and at Pingry since the previous plan was developed nearly a decade ago, so Head of School Tim Lear believes it is time for the Pingry community to move forward with new priorities that rely on and emphasize the people who make Pingry the institution that it is.
“For a strategic plan to really work, it has to be community built, community focused, and community driven,” he says. “We need a strategic plan that is adaptable, flexible, and grounded in our values . . . Resources are really important, but this plan is very specific to people. We will realize our potential when we shift our focus to prioritize our relationships with people. That will allow us to make use of resources, to generate resources, to be innovative.”
The six priorities that will guide Pingry for years to come are:
- Learning and Living with Honor (Pingry’s Honor Code celebrates 100 years during the 2025-26 school year)
- Strengthening Well-Being
- Managing Success and Disappointment
- Developing Transformative Relationships
- Cultivating an Outstanding Community of Educators
- Creating Space for Connection
