Pingry Acquires New Satellite Student Center: The Liberty Corner Chipotle
Sara Courtney

In a move that breathes new life into the iconic phrase, “Excellence and Honor”, Upper School Deans Hoepfl, Dunbar, and Van Antwerp have advocated on behalf of students for a new satellite student center that is sure to send Pingry’s Niche rankings into the stratosphere: the Liberty Corner Chipotle. The trio convinced the Board of Trustees to acquire the local lunchspot, winning over skeptics that cautioned the Burrito Bowls are off-brand, and giving the following detailed, well-thought-out reason for the move: “I’m tired of reminding students to stay on campus,” said a visibly tired Van Antwerp.

“So. Tired,” echoed Ms. Dunbar.

“Picture me walking through the halls literally never shouting the words ‘stay on campus’ ever again,” said Mr. Hoepfl in what can only be described as a mild shout. “Who am I without this constant reminder to the students to stay on campus?” he asks, pausing thoughtfully, “We are about to find out.”

With such overwhelming enthusiasm for the new student center, the Board of Trustees threw their support—and their appetite—behind the newly acquired facility, promising strengthened connections, and plenty of guacamole, for the community.
