Pingry Supported AI Tools

SchoolAISchoolAI offers teachers access to Tools (such as a lesson plan generator), Assistants (similar to ChatGPT), and Spaces (chatbots for student use with teacher supervision).

Other important SchoolAI features to note are:

  • Only adults in our community can use Tools, Assistants, and create Spaces 
  • No student data is collected or shared 
  • Schoology and Google Classroom integration 

 


 



 

Google GeminiGoogle Gemini is a powerful generative AI model developed by Google that can understand and generate text, code, images, and more. It is available to all Pingry employees and Upper School students through their Pingry Google account. Gemini is designed to be collaborative, conversational, and context-aware, making it a valuable tool for brainstorming, summarizing content, exploring ideas, and supporting a wide range of learning and productivity tasks. In educational settings, Gemini can help enhance creativity, personalize learning, and streamline work, but its use must always reflect Pingry’s values of ethical behavior, personal responsibility, and academic integrity.



 

CanvaCanva is a user-friendly graphic design platform available to the entire Pingry learning community, offering a wide range of tools for creating presentations, posters, videos, infographics, and more. In addition to its extensive library of templates and visual elements, Canva includes generative AI features such as Magic Write (an AI text generator), Magic Media (text-to-image and text-to-video generation), and tools for background removal, auto-translation, and content suggestions. These capabilities help users streamline the creative process, enhance visual communication, and bring ideas to life quickly and effectively. Whether used for class projects, professional materials, or creative expression, Canva empowers students and educators to design with imagination while using AI ethically and responsibly.

Google NotebookLMGoogle NotebookLM is an experimental AI-powered research and writing tool developed by Google, designed to help users organize information, generate summaries, ask questions, and connect ideas across documents. Available only to Pingry employees and Upper School students, NotebookLM allows users to upload and work with their own content, such as PDFs, notes, or resources, while the AI assists in analyzing, synthesizing, and drawing connections. It serves as a personal learning assistant, supporting professional development, lesson planning, and content exploration. As with all AI tools at Pingry, its use should align with the School’s values of integrity, thoughtful inquiry, and responsible innovation.
 

PadletPadlet is a digital collaboration platform, available to the entire Pingry learning community, that allows users to create and share virtual bulletin boards for organizing ideas, media, and content in real time. Padlet incorporates several AI-powered features designed to enhance collaboration and content creation. One of its key AI tools is the “I can’t draw” feature, which uses AI to generate illustrations based on text prompts provided by users, helping visualize ideas without requiring artistic skill. Padlet also includes an AI assistant that can suggest improvements to posts, auto-generate content ideas, and offer grammar corrections. These AI enhancements aim to streamline the creative process, making it easier for users to brainstorm, organize, and communicate visually and textually within shared boards.

Note: Each service has its own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which may have an age restriction as well as specify how the data submitted might be used for future development. Each service used must therefore be vetted and approved by the Technology Department before students are allowed to use it.
