Today's the day! On the 200th anniversary of Dr. Pingry's birthday, Pingry community members have the opportunity to celebrate with Ring the Bell: Pingry's first-ever day of giving. Thanks to a group of anonymous donors, Pingry will receive a $200,000 challenge grant, which will immediately benefit all students, faculty, and facilities if we secure 200 Pingry Fund gifts or pledges today. To count toward the total, gifts and pledges must be made between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. EST, Wednesday, September 26, and must be from individuals who have not yet contributed to the 2019 Pingry Fund. Gifts and pledges can be made online or over the phone (908-647-7058). As students will be wearing Pingry spirit wear and sharing their experiences on social media, we wanted to share some Pingry swag with Ring the Bell participants:
Early Riser – For the first gift of the day
On Our Way – For the 50th gift of the day
Halfway There – For the 100th gift of the day
Goal! – For the 200th gift
Night Owl – For the last gift of the day
Pingry Parent Pride – For the first parent donor from each grade
Pingry Alumni Pride – For the first alumnus/a donor from each class
In the words of Trustee Steve Lipper '79, P '09, '12, '14, "Ring the Bell is an opportunity for the entire Pingry community to come together and make a difference. As an alumnus, I have a deep appreciation for my Pingry education. As a parent of recent graduates, I have an overwhelming amount of admiration for the School, as I have watched my children and their classmates learn, grow, and thrive at Pingry and as young alums. Today is truly about participation; the impact of every gift will be maximized for our current students and faculty. What a great way to mark this occasion and honor our founder and his legacy."
Ring the Bell with a Pingry Fund gift today, and be sure to share YOUR Pingry pride on social media—and be on the lookout, as we'll be posting plenty of info on all official Pingry accounts.
