Pingry's in-house team of contact tracers—13 indefatigable faculty and staff—are working around the clock to keep the school community safe.
Following a thorough search process, Pingry is pleased to announce that Mr. James Pardes has been named the school's new Director of Marketing and Communications, beginning on January 11.
Mr. Pardes, known as "JP," has over 20 years of marketing experience across a variety of industries. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for LiveOnNY, a non-profit that facilitates organ and tissue donation and transplantation in New York. There, he guided the organization through a successful rebranding and led the development of marketing campaigns that produced record-breaking organ donor enrollments, garnering marketing industry recognition.
Prior to LiveOnNY, Mr. Pardes served as Director of Marketing Partnerships at the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he led two unique partnerships, one with USA Basketball (Olympic and World Championship teams) and one with the Harlem Globetrotters. In both partnerships, he led the development and execution of international marketing and revenue creation efforts. His work helped to draw in fans and sponsors alike, leading to strong revenue growth for both properties during his tenure.
Mr. Pardes also served as Group Director at the sports marketing agency Octagon, helping to lead activation of one of the largest sports sponsorships in the history of U.S. sports, the NASCAR-Sprint (then Nextel) partnership. Prior to Octagon, he gained foundational marketing experience as Brand Manager on the Q-tips and Lever 2000 brands at consumer packaged goods leader Unilever.
In addition to earning his MBA from Columbia Business School, Mr. Pardes earned an M.Ed. in Sports Management from Temple University and B.A. in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland. He is also an elected panel member of the National Advertising Review Board (NARB), and twice served as judge for the U.S. Effie Awards.
Mr. Pardes lives in Westfield with his wife, Pam; two young sons, Jake and Dylan; and their four-year-old french bulldog, Trouble.
Welcome, Mr. Pardes!
