Pingry senior Natalie DeVito is a winner of the National Merit $2,500 Scholarship, underwritten by National Merit Scholarship Corporation with its own funds.
National Merit selections take into account SAT scores and leadership of and participation in school and community activities. Natalie has been involved with many activities at Pingry, including Quiz Bowl, the Balladeers, the Varsity Softball Team, Winter Musicals, and Green Group (students who advocate for the environment and sustainability). Outside of Pingry, she has attended the NJ Scholars Program, taught students about astronomy (a passion of hers ever since the Science Olympiad in Grade 6), and translated New Jersey park brochures from English into Chinese.
A new member of Pingry's chapter of The Cum Laude Society, Natalie plans to attend Brown University.
