Four Middle School Girls Selected to Intermediate Region Honor's Choir
adawson

The Central Jersey Music Educators Association (CJMEA) recently held auditions for the Intermediate Region Honor's Choir. This year, the four members of Pingry's Middle School chorus who auditioned were all accepted!

Students who applied were required to register for their given voice part—soprano 1, soprano 2, or alto—sing scales, perform an a cappella portion of a song, do some pitch matching, and sing their voice part, on their own, in an accompanied choral selection.

Congratulations to Zala Bhan '23 (soprano 1), Brielle Marques '24 (alto), Sejal Patel '23 (soprano 2),  and Penelope Winterbottom '23 (soprano 1)! Special recognition goes to Sejal, who earned the second highest score of all 180 students who auditioned.

Following several rehearsals in the coming weeks, the choir's performance is scheduled for Sunday, March 10, at 3:00 p.m. at Monroe Regional High School.

Congratulations, Middle School girls!
