This celebration for Grade 5 recognizes student achievements and marks the transition from Lower to Middle School.
The fact that 2021 Blue Book Editors-in-Chief Sanjana Biswas ’21 and Brooke Pan ’21 were able to stand on the stage of Hauser Auditorium to announce the yearbook dedicatee highlights the enormous contribution that this year’s dedicatee—the incredible Facilities Team—has made and continues to make to Pingry.
“There have been many adjustments this year,” Sanjana and Brooke said. “Many schools couldn’t come back in person, but the Facilities Team made it safe, enjoyable, and ‘normal.’” Members of Facilities worked countless hours to help with the redesign of both campuses so that Pingry could open, including the construction of about 1,000 plexiglass dividers and installation of specialized equipment in classrooms on both campuses. Plus, they fulfilled their regular responsibilities to keep the campuses safe and immaculate, such as clearing away multiple feet of snow. In accepting the dedication, Director of Facilities Michael Waelz said the entire team is honored during this “very difficult year.”
