Following a successful, 11-5 record last fall, including a second-place finish at the state tournament, this season, Big Blue is looking to take the crown.

As Big Blue readies itself for the fall season, it hopes to improve upon its record last season, during which the team took third in the Metropolitan Independent Football League.

Last season's highlights:
Entering the season with several veteran players, Big Blue (13-5-1)—led by Alberto Choussey '19, who will play for Bucknell University in the fall, and Drew Beckmen '19—earned a second-place finish at the Somerset County Championships.

What to watch for this season:
• A strong returning senior class headed by captains Pranav Jha '20, who led the team last year in goals, Will Bugliari '20, John Robertson '20, and Simon Ribiero '20, will contribute their speed and unique skill sets.

• Younger team members will provide great depth and coaches expect them to be strong contributors.

• The team will focus on their preparation and being able to continue the success they often achieve in September all the way through to the end of the season, contending for the Somerset County and North Jersey Non-Public A titles. Having lost some opportunities to holes in defense last year, the coaching staff will be looking to work on individual defending and overall team defense.

• Following several scrimmages, the team's opening game is on September 7 against North Hunterdon. On September 11, Big Blue will take on their perennial rival, Bridgewater-Raritan.
