As Big Blue readies itself for the fall season, it hopes to improve upon its record last season, during which the team took third in the Metropolitan Independent Football League.

Head Coach: Izaak Pels
Last season's highlights:
Led by seven seniors, including captains Margot Present '19, Avery Didden '19, and Josie Jahng '19, who will be playing for Yale University this coming school year, the team finished the season with a 10-12 record.
What to watch for this season:
Senior leaders this coming season include captains Hannah Dillon '20, Caroline Dannenbaum '20, and Olivia Nugent '20.
New Head Coach Izaak Pels, a native of The Netherlands, where field hockey is a national pastime, will guide the team. He looks forward to competitive games against schools like Bernards, Ridge, and Princeton Day School, a team on which he previously served as Assistant Coach.
Coach Pels also hopes to help the team advance to the NJSIAA Group 1 Elite 8 or even the Final 4.
Coach Pels will focus on developing strong team morale and players' ability to understand transitions and be able to fulfill both offensive and defensive positions.
The team's first regular-season game is at home on September 6 against Montgomery.
