Fourth Straight State Title for Boys' Varsity Lacrosse

The eight seniors on Pingry's Boys' Varsity Lacrosse Team can now add a state title winning streak to their list of high school achievements. Last night, top-seeded Big Blue (11-7) cruised to its fourth consecutive NJSIAA Non-Public "B" victory, defeating #3 seeded Immaculata, 10-3.

George Enman '18, who will play for Lafayette College next year, took the opportunity to give a nod to their predecessors. "I think [our win] says more about our alums and the guys that came before us. It really set the standard for us, the seniors when we were freshmen, and we just followed the same game plan every single year and it's turned out pretty well."

Well indeed. With the win, the team also advances to its fourth consecutive Tournament of Champions appearance, ranked #6. (They made it to the TOC finals in 2016.) In the quarterfinals, scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m., they will take on #3 ranked Mountain Lakes at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.

Congratulations, Big Blue lacrosse, and best of luck in the Tournament of Champions!
