Clay Sherman of the NJ DEP discussed a flood mitigation project along the Hudson River.
Big Blue pride was on full display at the PSPA's annual Friday Night Lights on November 3, as the Varsity Football Team decisively defeated the George School (Newtown, PA), 42-16, against a backdrop of spirited, cheering Pingry fans.
Senior Obi Nnaeto, who two weeks earlier broke the 1,000 rushing yards mark, didn't ease his momentum, rushing 214 yards on 13 carries and scoring three touchdowns, which effectively put the game away by halftime. Brian Benson '19, Channing Russell '18, and Nate Hefner '19, off a 25-yard pass from Joe Shilts '19, also scored. Ryan Feeley '18 led the defense with seven tackles.
Middle and Upper School singers kicked off the evening with the National Anthem, and, thanks to Middle School Athletics Director Gerry Vanasse, young students enjoyed a variety of games, activities, and prize giveaways throughout the game. Meanwhile, under the tent, students, parents, faculty, staff, and alumni enjoyed a tasty tailgate: pizza, meatballs, mozzarella sticks, pigs in a blanket, wings, hot apple cider, and a dessert extravaganza—all provided by the PSPA—kept fans warm and energized throughout the night.
Congratulations, Big Blue, and thanks to all the Pingry fans for their support!
