Always on the hunt for exciting new apparel items to fill the shelves of The Bear Pause, Bookstore Manager Mrs. Barbara Chilmonik experienced an epiphany with her latest acquisition. . .
But first, some necessary background: A loyal resident of The Bear Pause and beloved companion to Mrs. Chilmonik is a 4.5-year-old Border Collie named Finn, who was brought to the Basking Ridge Campus in 2015 to fulfill the ever-important role of goose-chaser. He has since also become a cheerful chum to countless Pingry students, faculty, and staff, and, unofficially, iconic canine headmaster.
Bantering with Josh Thau '20 in the school store one day, Mrs. Chilmonik suggested he might like to purchase Finn's doppelganger, a stuffed animal she had recently acquired for sale in the store. Josh admired one, proclaiming it "Finn-tastic!" And so, a new t-shirt—pictured here, and available in child and adult sizes—was born!
To find the stuffed dog, cool t-shirt, and many other doggone good items for the new school year, from snacks and drinks to school supplies and Pingry swag, visit The Bear Pause, open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
