Presenting the Fall/Winter 2022 Issue of "The Pingry Review"
Greg Waxberg

The School invites you to read the digital version of The Pingry Review’s Fall/Winter 2022 issue, which proudly highlights new Head of School Tim Lear as he leads Pingry into a proverbial “new era”—or “the new chapter of Pingry’s story,” as this book lover and English teacher might say. The cover story shares reflections on his Pingry experiences and teachers, his (unexpected) career path, and his goals for Pingry.

This issue also profiles archaeologist Dr. Mary Prendergast ’95, one of the few times (if not the first) that The Pingry Review has spoken with a graduate who works in this field. One of the revelations of her story is that a particular Pingry course was largely responsible for her career path, and she also talks about ethical issues that archaeologists encounter and grapple with.

These pages also provide an overview of other pages in Pingry history: student publications as far back as the 1870s, with comments from current and former editors and faculty advisors.

Other content includes the Letter-In-Life Award, college placements for the Class of 2022, new faculty and staff, Spring Intensives, books by alumni, and a look at seventh-grade science projects that required research and lots of creativity.
