Parents

Pingry parents are welcomed into our community just as eagerly as our students. We also welcome their involvement.

We’re committed to keeping our families informed and abreast of the school’s culture, policies, procedures, and practices to enhance everyone’s experience. We also provide information about school events and opportunities that not only further a student’s academic success, but also benefit the entire family.

Please visit our School News and All-School Calendar often, watch for our weekly Big Blue Bulletin emails, familiarize yourself with our Key Dates, and continue the conversation on our social media channels! And, if you have any specific questions, please contact Jane Hoffman, Associate Director of Development, Annual Giving and Community Engagement.

The Pingry School Parents’ Association (PSPA)

As the official parent/guardian organization of Pingry, the Pingry School Parents Association has one objective in mind: To increase involvement and create a sense of belonging for all members of the Pingry community.

The PSPA is a financially self-sustaining organization, and all parents/guardians of current students are considered members.

The PSPA is overseen by a 14-member PSPA Executive Board, which consists of six elected positions and eight positions appointed by the PSPA President, and meets monthly.

What is the best way to get involved?

Volunteer! Your contributions count and it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents and feel connected to our community.

Volunteer Opportunities

The PSPA holds approximately 60 events each school year. We couldn’t do it without the amazing 200+ parent volunteers who organize and execute for our school and, of course,
for our children.

A Message from the PSPA President

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as PSPA President for the 2023-2024 school year! Our community of parents and guardians is a diverse, supportive, and committed group that is passionate about Pingry. We are serious about finding joy in working together and helping create a collaborative and inspirational atmosphere within the Pingry community.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new Pingry families and welcome back all who are returning! The purpose of the PSPA is to build and foster a sense of community and belonging among the parents/guardians, employees, and students at The Pingry School and we couldn’t do it without our incredible 200+ parent volunteers who support, organize, and execute for our school every day.

The PSPA is planning and exploring ways to come together this year and we rely heavily on our volunteers to lead our wonderful community events and activities. I invite you to reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator or to visit the Volunteer Opportunities page where you can learn about ways to contribute your time and talents. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or a member of the PSPA Executive Board throughout the year. We encourage and welcome everyone’s ideas, feedback, and thoughts and we look forward to another exciting year ahead!
