Together with Macrae Theater and Hauser Auditorium, the Attic Theater is Pingry’s third performance space. The smallest and most intimate of the three, this black box theater is perfect for connecting with audiences, and frequently hosts drama classes, rehearsals, and the annual Drama IV Spring Play.

Pingry's first synthetic turf field, the John Taylor Babbitt ’07 Memorial Field serves as an outstanding athletics facility for the field hockey and boys' and girls' lacrosse teams.

Dedicated to Honorary Trustee and 1969 Letter-In-Life Award recipient William S. Beinecke ’31, a member of the Board of Trustees from 1955 to 1976, Beinecke Pool is home to Big Blue’s state title–winning boys’ and girls’ swim program and has served as a training ground for Olympic swimmers.

One of two gymnasiums in Basking Ridge’s main building, Bristol Gymnasium is named for the late Madeleine Wild Bristol, mother and grandmother of several Pingry alumni and ardent supporter of Pingry athletics. Basketball games and physical education classes are held here, along with pep rallies and several non-athletic school events.

A feature of the Hostetter Arts Center, this light-filled space features stunning large windows and is an outstanding location for a wide range of programs and activities. This multi-use room can be used as a studio for dance, yoga classes, and mindfulness meditation, yet it is increasingly popular as an impeccable space to hold impressive board meetings.

Pingry’s tennis facilities include 12 new US Open–style hard court tennis courts, which were completed in 2017. The courts include custom windscreens as well as Big Blue seating along the end of the courts and walkway areas. The tennis facilities are used by Pingry’s Middle School, JV and Varsity tennis teams, and hosts the USTA youth tennis tournaments.

The Newhouse Family Sports Arena is a diverse athletics space that hosts our wrestling and fencing programs and can accommodate a wide array of sports. It includes two full-size gymnasiums that can be separated into four short-sided courts partitioned by drop-down dividers. The multifunctional surface can accommodate a variety of sports training and competitions, including basketball, indoor soccer, and Futsal, and can be utilized all year long.

With seating for over 700 people and a stage that can fit an entire orchestra, Hauser Auditorium is home to countless assemblies, concerts, special speakers, notable lectures, and much, much more.

One of two gymnasiums in Basking Ridge’s main building, Hyde and Watson Gymnasium is named for the Hyde and Watson Foundation, a longtime Pingry supporter. Basketball games and physical education classes are held here.

Installed in 2021, our newest turf field hosts soccer and lacrosse practices, games, and tournaments, and is conveniently located adjacent to the main drive as guests enter or exit campus.

Following the construction of the Hostetter Arts Center in 2003, Macrae Theatre became home to the Middle and Upper Schools' plays and musicals. The theater, which seats up to 235 people, is equipped with a high-tech lighting booth and lighting catwalk, was designed to optimize acoustics, and allows students the opportunity to not only participate in performances, but engage in the technical aspects of the show. This intimate space is an excellent choice for cultural performances and dances.

Parsons Field, located within the track and featuring stadium seating, houses varsity football, as well as boys’ and girls’ varsity lacrosse games.

Nestled among the trees on Pingry’s back campus sit five tent platforms, a secluded fire pit, and benches built by students. Our campsite hosts cookouts, campouts, and woodland class discussions. As part of their service to the School, students in the Outing Club, along with other volunteers, help maintain the trails and campsite.

Five individual, soundproof rehearsal rooms are located in the Hostetter Arts Center, each equipped with a piano.

Home of the Boys’ and Girls’ Varsity Squash Teams, the JV and Middle School Squash Teams, as well as the Big Blue Squash Program, The Miller A. Bugliari ’52 Athletics Center features eight state-of-the-art squash courts, including the Clark & Vera Family Court, the Ruggiero/Wen Court, and the O’Toole Court. Four separate and comfortable viewing areas allow families and fans to overlook the thrilling action.

Shortly after the Martinsville Campus (now Basking Ridge) opened in 1984, its track was named after E. Murray Todd, Class of 1916, athlete, Pingry trustee, and 1975 recipient of the Letter-In-Life award.

The Short Hills Campus features three grass fields parallel to each other that are used for a variety of sports. The three fields can hold 11v11, 9v9, and 7v7 style of play, and are host to local soccer teams practices and games.

Batter up! This Short Hills Campus field hosts both baseball and softball games. With an impeccably maintained baseball diamond, it is home to the Millburn Little League baseball program.

Lower School students enjoy daily physical education classes in this spacious gymnasium, which was completely remodeled in 2016. With a traverse wall for rock climbing and a cargo net that drops down from the ceiling so students can climb up, this gym is home to many summer camp programs, including our popular Mega V camp. The gymnasium also hosts many other non-athletic school events and after-school enrichment classes, including birthday parties.

The Turf Field, which broke ground in 2021, is an excellent youth soccer field that can hold 9v9 and 7v7 scrimmages. This popular field also hosts lacrosse games and practices.

The Pottersville Campus athletics center contains a large gymnasium with one full basketball court that can be split into two smaller courts (six hoops total). The gym has multi-use synthetic flooring, with lines for basketball, volleyball, and tennis. Upon request, high-quality turf can be installed to cater to other sports and activities such as indoor soccer, lacrosse, futsal, and more. Volleyball and tennis nets are available, as well as a gym partition.

The athletics center also contains a weight/cardio room, yoga and dance studio, and two separate locker rooms.

The Pottersville Campus is home to two full-sized fields (122 x 60 yards) with soccer and lacrosse goals available, as well as the option to paint lines on the field for your corresponding sport.

The Dining Hall is a classic dining room that is spacious enough to seat 180 guests, making it the perfect choice for weddings, conferences, film and television shows, and production craft services.

The dormitories at the Pottersville Campus sleep 150 comfortably and consist of three, two-floor dorm buildings with bathrooms on each floor. Rooms sizes vary from double to quad+, and beds, desks, and dressers are included.

Perfect for team building, fitness, or just plain fun, our ropes course is made up of exciting obstacles—including a 30-ft climbing wall and TBD.

The warm and roomy library is comfortable enough to cozy up with a good book while also being a flexible and tech-capable space to hold meetings and conferences. The library space can fit up to sixty seats.

The Pottersville Campus is equipped with five hardcourt tennis courts that allow for fantastic competitive play in a beautifully idyllic setting.

The theater at the Pottersville Campus seats 181 and is equipped with a lights/audio room as well as dressing and make-up rooms. Perfect for small performances and often utilized as a dance studio, the theater also features a fully functioning curtain and a loft for added storage or creative space.
