Lifelong Learning and Experts-in-Residence

At Pingry, we foster a lifelong commitment to intellectual exploration. Our opportunities for adults at Pottersville uniquely meet our mission through a variety of programs.

Pottersville Campus is also home to many professional development opportunities for Pingry colleagues to embrace lifelong learning and foster a culture of intellectual engagement, inquiry, and personal empowerment. From Inservice days, to Employee Orientation, Ropes Course Certification, Risk Management Training, Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Courses, and departmental retreats, the Pottersville Campus welcomes our community of teachers to be inspired to think differently about education and connect across topics and with others on a deeper level.

Visitors join us at the campus for our Experts-in-Residence program for individuals and cohorts to explore various topics year-round in our guest capacity housing. Guest lecturers, strategic partners (link to page), individual and cohort visiting artists and performers-in-residence, camp leaders, conference organizers, and alumni stay at Pottersville to work with students and teachers, and explore intellectual and creative pursuits.

The Pottersville Arts Residency for emerging and professional visual artists, musicians, actors, and writers is a studio-based experience that celebrates creativity, scholarship, and professional growth at The Pingry School’s Pottersville Campus. The Residency is an ideal opportunity for those seeking time and space to immerse in their work in a tranquil setting with a cohort of fellow creators. Independent work, feedback sharing, evening meals, and conversation shape this week-long community experience at the campus. (Summer 2025 will be announced in winter 2025.)

I don't know that I've been part of anything this sincere and rich before."
