Middle School Supply Recommendation List
Below is a list of generally recommended supplies to get an early start in preparing for the academic year. This list is intended to be a guide of likely necessities rather than a definitive, comprehensive list for each student’s class. Individual class supply requirements will be shared the first week of school and may differ slightly from the recommendations listed below; for this reason, it is recommended that families wait until that time to make purchases and ensure students have a writing utensil and computer for the first few days of school.
- Computer (labeled with name; laptop requirements and recommendations are here)
- Computer charger (labeled with name)
- Headphones with microphone (labeled with name)
- Required texts (course info and how to order texts is emailed in late July)
- A school-issued agenda (will be distributed in the fall)
- At least two packs of #2 pencils
- At least two packs of blue or black pens
- Three to five three-ring binders (1.5 inches max)
- Five folders (one for each core class)
- At least one black-and-white composition notebook
- Two spiral notebooks
- Two highlighters of different colors
- At least one package of loose-leaf filler paper, wide-rule
- At least one package of graph paper
- Scientific Calculator (recommended: Texas Instruments TI-30X IIS)
- Post-Its
- One pack of colored pencils
- Brightly colored pens
- Two erasers
- At least one pack of 3”x 5” index cards
- A pencil/pen case (to carry and/or store in locker)
- Locker ladder organization tool for lockers
Suggested for use at home
- One pack of colored pencils or crayons*
- One pack of markers*
- Post-Its
- Glue sticks
- Scissors
- Stapler
- Paper clips
*The most basic packs of writing utensils, colored pencils, and markers should suffice.
