It's the most wonderful time of the year here at The Pingry School! Students have returned, extracurricular activities are taking place, lots of learning is happening, and relationships are being developed. In addition to all of these exciting happenings across our campuses, Pingry is delighted to introduce you to the newest members of our talented team for the 2021-22 school year.

Prep A Tournament: third place
*In his first four career varsity starts, pitcher Jake Francis '23 pitched three no hitters, a perfect game, and four complete-game shut-outs. He also batted .400 on the season, leading the team in hits and doubles. Thomas Santana '22 pitched an opening day no-hitter as well.

Girls’ Track & Field
Somerset County Championships: Ryan Davi, second place, 800 meters (2:19); Kyra Li, third place, triple jump (33'7.5"); Allie de Asla, third place, pole vault (9'). 

Skyland Conference Championships: team, first place Valley B Division; Kyra Li, first place, triple jump (32”6.5”) and third place, 100 hurdles (18:08); Christine Guo, first place, javelin (81'11"); Nubia Gooding, second place, 100 meters (13.36) and 200 meters (27.57); Ryan Davi, second place, 800 meters (2:24); Alina Irvine, second place, 1600 (5:27) and 3200 (11:50); Anika Sinha, second place, 400 hurdles (1:12) and third place, 400 meters (1:03); Allie de Asla, second place, pole vault (9'6"). Boys’ Track & Field
NJSIAA Meet of Champions: Ore Shote '21, earned a medal in eighth place, shot put (157'2").
 
Somerset County Championships: Henry Wood, first place, 800 meters (1:57); Ore Shote, second place, discus (143'5").

Skyland Conference Championships: Henry Wood, first place, 800 meters (1:56) and 1600 meters (4:20); Ore Shote, first place, discus (145'10") and third place, shot put (41'4.5"); Sahdev Patel, second place, 3200 meters (9:54). Tom Goydan, third place, pole vault (11'6").

Prep A Championships: Ore Shote, second place,  shot put (43'3.25"); Tom Goydan, second place, pole vault (11’6.5"); Sahdev Patel, second place, 3200 meters (10:22); Oliver Mendelsohn, second place, 400-meter hurdles (1:07).

NJSIAA Doubles Tournament: Ryan Burns '23 and Miles Kelly '24 advanced to the semifinals
NJSIAA South Jersey Non-Public Team Tournament: team, first place
Somerset County Championships: team, first place; Sam Henriques '22, first place, second singles; Miles and Ryan, first place, first doubles; Walker Johnson '21 and Asher Matthias '23, first place, second doubles
Skyland Conference Champions
*The team ended the season with a #3 state ranking.
