It's the most wonderful time of the year here at The Pingry School! Students have returned, extracurricular activities are taking place, lots of learning is happening, and relationships are being developed. In addition to all of these exciting happenings across our campuses, Pingry is delighted to introduce you to the newest members of our talented team for the 2021-22 school year.

June 21, 2021

Boys’ Lacrosse
Cal McPherson led with two goals, but Don Bosco Prep defeated Big Blue—only their second loss of the season—9-5, in the Tournament of Champions semifinals on Wednes., June 16. Luke Engelke, Avery Kirby, and Ryan Palmer pitched in with a goal each. In goal, Aidan Fassnacht had 18 saves.

Ore Shote and Noah Morris were selected to participate in the 11th annual Basilone Bowl, held at Bridgewater Raritan High School on Wednes., June 16, where the Leathernecks defeated the Devil Dogs, 26-14.

Boys’ Tennis
Seeded fourth, the first doubles team of Ryan Burns and Miles Kelly advanced to the semifinal round of the NJSIAA Doubles Tennis Tournament on Wednes., June 16. In a hard fought three-set match (6-7, 6-2, 1-6), they feel to eventual champions Newark Academy.

Boys’ Track & Field
Ore Shote finished eighth to medal in the discus with a throw of 157’2” at the NJSIAA Track & Field Meet of Champions on Saturday. In the shot put, he placed 35th (45’11.5”). Teammates Henry Wood (13th, 800 meters, 1:56.51), Sahdev Patel (29th, 3200, 10:09), and Christian Colella (29th, 400 hurdles, 1:01) also competed.

Girls’ Track & Field
Alina Irvine finished 24th in the 1600 meter run (5:32) while Ryan Davi finished 27th in the 400 meters (1:01). In the 100 meters, Nubia Gooding took 33rd (13.26).
