As part of our ongoing effort to create a proactive, welcoming admissions process that exceeds the expectations of our prospective students and families, Pingry is proud to encourage you to consider Early Action — our non-binding, early admissions cycle specifically for Grade 9 applicants.

"When I was considering independent high schools, it did not take long for Pingry to become my first choice. I was astonished by the number of opportunities to challenge myself academically and fuel my passions. I was excited to discover that Pingry’s community is supportive, inclusive, and diverse. In meeting faculty, administration, and alumni, it was clear that Pingry focuses on preparing its students to be successful in college and in life. Every interaction I had made me feel comfortable and welcome. I knew instinctively that Pingry was the best fit for me and was the school I wanted to attend. Applying early action allowed me to communicate that message to Pingry. I am thrilled to be part of the Community, and encourage you to consider Pingry!"

As a senior at Pingry and a versatile artist, Emily Gao has left a lasting impact as a natural leader and active community member. Her passion for art and experimentation is clearly visible, as she currently revels in the joy of creative freedom. While Emily has honed her skills in realistically recreating images over the past few years, she is now thrilled to venture into diverse levels of realism. A noteworthy milestone in her artistic journey is the recent completion of an abstract painting inspired by Rothko, signaling a new and exciting chapter in her creative exploration.
Witnessing students undergo transformative journeys, cultivating not just one, but multiple skills, is the most rewarding aspect. The magic lies in immersing students in a community abundant with opportunities, surrounded by inspiring faculty and supportive friends. It's a joy to observe the unexpected surprises that unfold during their time at Pingry.
Honored with the 2011 Award for Outstanding Achievement in 3D Media-Sculpture and the 2012 Brendan J. Donahue ’79 Memorial Prize for Pottery, he initially believed sculpture was his true calling. However, a revelation during another class with Mr. Freiwald led him to discover a newfound passion for crafting jewelry and the concept of sculpting directly on the body. Through dedicated days in Pingry's studio and insightful discussions with his mentor, he found himself on a transformative journey toward becoming a fashion designer.
