Grade-specific Information

Requirements for All Applicants

• All families will virtually meet with a member of the Admission Office as part of the process. The interview/meeting is an opportunity for the family to ask questions and learn more about Pingry. We look forward to the conversation!

• Recommendation forms must be submitted directly to Pingry by the recommender/school.

• Current year teacher recommendation forms should be submitted to the teacher after December 1 of the current school year.

• Transcript/Report Card for the current school year, as well as the past two school years and any standardized testing, must be submitted directly to Pingry by the applicant’s school.

It is the applicant/prospective family’s responsibility to follow up with the Admission Office in a timely manner regarding the status of the applicant’s file, keeping in mind the deadlines for documentation. If the file is incomplete, it is the responsibility of the family to contact the appropriate person regarding the missing items.

Participation Policy

The Pingry School’s enrollment process, structured to craft and maintain a community of involved students, enables the School to offer excellent programs across the spectrum of academics and extracurricular activities. Without students’ full participation—both inside the classroom and out—Pingry loses the very dynamic nature of its student body that it so carefully seeks to achieve. Our Honor Code requires that “{Students} should act as responsible members of the community, working for the common good rather than solely for personal advantage.”

Accordingly, it is Pingry’s expectation that students will participate in ways that advantage the community. When students have distinguished themselves through a specific talent or skill, and/or if students participate outside of Pingry at a high level in an activity currently offered at Pingry, it is the expectation and requirement of the School that these students will participate in that activity while enrolled in the Upper School.
