The Blue Print is the student newspaper of the Middle School. The newspaper was first published in September 2003 and has become a way for students to share their ideas and express their opinions on issues that affect them. Students have the opportunity to write articles on issues that are of interest to them including political, social and news oriented topics.
Students are encouraged to use The Blue Print to demonstrate their creativity. Along with articles, members of the staff take photos and each issue of the newspaper includes original artwork and cartoons. In addition, student editors are responsible for the choosing of articles, typing up the articles using Microsoft Publisher to layout the newspaper.
The Blue Print is student run and advised by Shelley Hartz, a member of the Technology Department and Community Service Coordinator.
