Summer is the time to create new memories, renew and develop friendships, and have fun! Discover Summer at The Pingry School from June 23, 2008 through August 1, 2008 . Pingry Day Camps are offered for boys and girls ages three to fouteen in a safe, supervised, non-competitive environment. All nursery and junior campers will partake in a group music program. A drama program is offered for nursery, junior, and selected senior camp groups. Two talent and slide shows are available during the summer. Our camps are located on the 210-acre Martinsville Campus featuring expansive playing fields, two gyms, a 25-meter six-lane swimming pool, an eight-lane all-weather track, and twelve all-weather outdoor tennis courts. Students may choose to take one or two classes in addition to participating in Pingry’s Day Camp.
Nursery Camp
Our nursery and pre-nursery experience is expressly designed for our youngest campers. Children are separated into small groups based on age and maturity, where each group has its own camp space and staff. Swimming lessons are given once or twice daily, depending upon the weather, in a small pool dedicated to our young campers. Children enjoy a full schedule of arts and crafts, music, outdoor play, and other age-appropriate activities. A rest period and snack are built into their fun-filled day.
Junior Camp
Our junior campers experience a full day of activities organized to complement their age level. Children are divided into small groups based on age and maturity. Swim lessons are offered once or twice daily, depending upon the weather. Two organized outside events are offered, weather permitting. Included in their day is an active schedule of arts and crafts, introductory sports, music, games, and a snack. Although most of the campers’ time is spent on facilities dedicated to the junior camp, some time is also spent in senior camp areas.
Senior Camp
Senior campers enjoy a comprehensive program tailored to their specific age group. Children are grouped by age level and gender. Each group of approximately 15 campers is supervised by a minimum of two staff members. Camp provides all necessary equipment for clinics and games. Campers will be assigned their own lockers for the summer.
