The Pingry SAT Program
Background and Philosophy
For over 20 years, the SAT Preparation Program at The Pingry School has been helping students from central New Jersey do their personal best on the SAT.
Our 30-hour SAT Preparation Program is run by educators from The Pingry School, one of the nation's leading independent schools known for its high academic standards. Staffed by a caring faculty that quickly comes to know each individual student's strengths and areas that need support, the program eases fears about taking the SAT and gives students the tools and confidence they need as they approach one of the milestones on the road to college.
Our faculty is committed to giving your child the kind of specialized attention that has long been synonymous with independent school education. High priority is placed on values such as small classes, the recognition of individual needs, and a commitment to excellence.
Beginning in March of 2016, the SAT will be adopting a new format. Because no one knows exactly what the new test and test experience will look and feel like, we strongly recommend that all current sophomores and juniors students prepare for and take the current version of the SAT before it undergoes this significant change. Our summer 2015 and fall 2015 sessions will focus on preparation for the current test.
In our program, your child will receive a thorough understanding of the PSAT/SAT format. The sessions will focus on:
Reading comprehension enhancement
Sentence completion strategies
Fundamental mathematics review
Grammar and essay writing review
The crucial areas of overcoming test anxiety and improving levels of concentration are also addressed by this course.
