A hallmark of the Pingry Athletics Department is the variety of sports teams the school has to offer. There is literally “something for everyone.” Over the last century and a half, Pingry has held athletics in high regard. The development of excellence and honor within each of our student athletes has remained a core value of our philosophy.

Pingry offers 20 different sports, fielding approximately 80 teams in Form I through Form VI (Grades 7-12). Our Upper School students can select from 34 Varsity and JV level teams, a total offering that is among the highest of any school in New Jersey. In the 2008-2009 school year, over 400 Pingry Upper School students competed on at least one team and 51 of those students earned Varsity letters in all three sport seasons.

This is an exciting time for Pingry's interscholastic teams as this fall marks our first season in the Skyland Conference, one of the most respected and competitive leagues in New Jersey. The conference fosters competitive balance among member schools, and it develops both new and renewed rivalries. As a new member of the Skyland Conference, Pingry is now scheduled with more local high schools, our teams enjoy a higher level of competition, and our programs benefit from increased local/state media attention.

The coaches and I hope that you will join one or more of our teams in order to make your own contribution to the continued success of Pingry athletics.
