Upper School Admission

Admission Procedures for grades 9-11

The following steps must be completed before an application will be reviewed by the Admission Committee. All links and updated forms will be available no later than September 2, 2013.

Submit the completed Admission Application, Questionnaire for Applicant, and Activities Questionnaire online (questionnaires are to be completed by student applicant) along with the $75 non-refundable application fee. If this application fee presents a hardship for your family, please contact us at so we may assist you immediately. And, please refer to this form to see the questions that are asked within the online application.

Applications are due by the following date:
Grades 9-11 – January 5, 2014 at midnight
Applications submitted after this date will be considered as space allows.

Part of the application process is a day visit by the student and a parent/guardian interview that must be completed by January 31, 2014. We encourage you to submit your application as early as possible since we can accommodate only a certain number of students per day and our calendar fills up quickly.

Give Teacher Recommendation forms no earlier than November to one of your child’s current Humanities teachers (this can be either an English, language arts, writing, or history teacher) and your child's math teacher. A third recommendation by a person of your choosing is also required, and may be submitted on the Extracurricular Recommendation form or by letter. All forms and letters should be sent directly by the writer to our Admission Office.

Families are also welcome to use our online recommendation forms. Please use this link to learn more about, our online school recommendation form service.

Teacher recommendation forms are due by the following date:
Grades 9-11 – January 31, 2014

Transcript Request form should be completed by the applicant’s principal or guidance counselor after the first marking period for the current year. This form must come directly from the current school to our Admission Office with a history of grades that includes final grades from the previous two years and at least one marking period from the current year.

Transcript of records are due by the following date:
Grades 9-11 – January 31, 2014

In most cases, applicants will spend the day on campus and the student and parent/guardian interviews will occur on a seperate day. Upon receipt of the application, Samantha Schifano, Admission Coordinator & Counselor, will be in touch to arrange the visit and interview dates. The visit day includes a full day of classes for the child (we will provide a lunch) and a tour of campus for parents and family in the morning. We look forward to offering a variety of visit dates and a variety of interview dates and times in order to be as accomodating as possible.

Visits and interviews need to be completed before the following date:
January 31, 2014
