Board of Trustees, 2016-2017

On behalf of the Pingry Board of Trustees, welcome to the 2016-17 school year. Collectively, we are honored to serve a School that means so much to each of us individually and to our families. We are an enthusiastic board dedicated to Pingry’s advancement.

Guided by Pingry’s commitment to Honor and Excellence, each year we work to support the School in its mission to provide an exceptional environment for a superior education. This year, as we enter the countdown of our Blueprint for the Future Campaign—which comes to a close on June 30, 2016—we will be particularly focused on achieving our Campaign goals, thereby positioning the School for long-term success.

Indeed, we are modernizing our classrooms and facilities on both the Short Hills and Basking Ridge Campuses, creating physical spaces that better support optimal teaching and learning. We are attracting and retaining the best and brightest faculty, and providing for their professional development. We are raising financial aid resources to support our tremendous student body. We are improving our athletics facilities with the new Miller A. Bugliari ’52 Athletics Center, the groundbreaking for which takes places on September 19, 2015. Lastly, we are committed to maintaining the vitality of the Pingry Fund and ensuring the School’s long-term financial strength. We—and all of Pingry’s faculty, staff, and administrators—have been assiduously working towards these Campaign initiatives, and we will continue to do so as its final year comes to a close.

In addition to our Campaign efforts, we will carry on with our other responsibilities: stewarding the School’s precious resources, working to develop an ever more inclusive community, reinforcing Pingry’s commitment to the Honor Code, and ensuring overall academic and programmatic excellence.

Clearly, there is much to do, but we are eager and serious about charting the right course for Pingry’s future. Together, we all look forward to a terrific year.
