Nic Fink '11 was part of a dramatic win for Team USA in the recent "Duel in the Pool" broadcast on NBC Sports. Team USA staged a comeback in the Ryder Cup-style swim meet and defeated Team Europe 132-131 with a world-record time in the tiebreaker mixed relay that was needed after the 30 scheduled races.

Pingry will be the host site for a full-size, glass squash court from March 25-April 12. It will mark the first time squash has ever been played on the Pingry campus, as well as the first time this court has ever been brought to a middle school or high school in the United States.

UPDATE: On Thursday, Nic finished the 200 BR prelims in 17th place after posting a time of 2:13.89, just one spot and .02 out of a guaranteed spot in tonight's semis. However, he is now listed as the top reserve for the semis. Tune in to the national TV broadcast on NBC tonight (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) to see if Nic comes off the reserve list for a spot in the 200 BR semis. His next scheduled race is the 200 IM (Friday). On September 27, 2008, the Pingry community dedicated the school’s first synthetic turf field to the memory of John Taylor Babbitt ’07, a resident of Chatham who was 16 years old when he died from a then-undiagnosed heart condition in February 2006.
