As a member of the Overlook Foundation Junior Board for the 2016-17 school year, Pingry's Jared Lefkort '18 was one of 13 student representatives from area high schools for whom philanthropy took on new meaning as they learned how a non-profit board functions, worked through the grant process, and raised funds for their chosen cause. The group's experience culminated in their awarding of a grant to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Overlook Medical Center.
Accepting on behalf of the NICU were (rear left) Dr. Gaines Mimms and Dr. Denise Hassinger, joined by the Junior Board members. Jared is in the middle of the back row.
