Despite unseasonably warm temperatures, Nicole Vanasse '20 lowered her personal best time at Holmdel Park by 31 seconds to win the Varsity "F" division of the Shore Coaches Invitational on Saturday, October 7 in a time of 19:31, leading the team to a first-place finish ahead of Villa Wash. (Two years ago, Anna Wood '18 won the race, helping the team to a second-place finish.) Teammates Alina Irvine '21 took eighth in 20:45, Ryan Davi '21 placed twelfth in 21:01, and Cathleen Parker '19 placed sixteenth in 21:34. Lily Rockoff '19 (23:09), Grace Brown '19 (23:17), and Jessi Yatvitskiy '21 (23:40) rounded out Big Blue's top seven lineup.

The team's first-place team finish follows an earlier victory at the Newark Academy Invitational last month.

"The exciting one-point win over Villa Walsh was a true team effort," said Head Coach Tim Grant.

Congratulations, Big Blue runners!
