In Native American N. Scott Momaday's works—one of which was chosen as this summer's faculty/staff summer reading—the Pingry community has much to discuss.
On the 100th anniversary of the prestigious MET Junior, the oldest junior golf event in the country, and on his home course at the Plainfield Country Club no less, Jake Mayer '17— the 2017 Courier News Boys Golfer of the Year—took a 7-and-6 victory over Will O'Neill of Morristown to win the coveted championship. The championship, which began on July 18 and concluded on July 21, was first established in 1912; Jake's name will now appear on the prestigious Mandeville Trophy beside some of golf's biggest names, from Butch Harmon to Cameron Young.
