Employee Benefits
Healthcare
Medical and prescription coverage provided to full-time employees by Performax and the PHCS network. $33.75/paycheck cost for employee, $67.75/paycheck for employee and spouse or parent and child, $101.75/paycheck for employee and family, $20 co-pay for in-network services, out-of-network services are covered on a percentage basis with an annual deductable ($1,000 per individual, $2,000 per family). Prescription copays are $5 for generic, $15 for formulary brands, and $30 for non-formulary brands. Express Scripts mail order service is also available. Dental coverage provided to full-time employees by Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey. Two plans are available: Horizon Dental Choice covers 100% cost for in-network-only general services and 50% cost for major/specialty services; Direct Dental covers in-network and partial out-of-network costs for employee, $50 individual deductable, $150 family deductable, no deductable for preventive and diagnostic services. Dental premium is no-cost for employee, $24/paycheck for dependent coverage.

Retirement Tax-deferred annuity plan provided by TIAA/CREF. New full-time employees are eligible within one year of service for company-matched contribution RA account; alternatively, new employees may open a non-matched SRA account immediately. Company matching is based on years of service: 5% for 1-5 years, 7.5% for 6-12 years, 8.5% for 13-20 years, 9.5% 21 years and over.

Life Insurance
Standard life insurance policy is provided by Unum. New employees are immediately eligible for no-cost coverage, beneficiary receives 1x annual salary of employee as death benefit. Supplementary life insurance provided by The Principal Mutual Group Universal Life. New employees are immediately eligible.

Training
Personal growth opportunity requests are encouraged and approved by Department Heads and the Administrative Council for appropriateness and reimbursement costs.

Pingry Tuition Remission Faculty members are eligible for tuition assistance when placing their child(ren) at The Pingry School. 25% discount and financial aid for faculty members hired after 1988, 100% discount hired before 1988.

Meal Plan All employees are welcome to eat lunch in the school dining room at no cost during the academic school year.

Vacation and Leaves Regular full-time, year-round employees are eligible for a paid vacation after completion of six months of continuous service. Vacation time is accrued based on the number of paid hours in each pay period and is determined as follows dependent on length of service: 2 weeks for 1-10 years of service, 3 weeks for 10-15 years service, 4 weeks for 15 or more years of service. Regular part-time staff receives a pro-rated benefit. Regular full-time, 10 month staff do not receive any vacation time other than school holidays, but vacation during the months of July and August when they are not actively working with The Pingry School. Administrators vacation time is provided by contract and taken with the approval of the Headmaster.
The school also provides paid sick leave of 10 days per academic year, personal leave of 2 days per year, death in the family leave of 3 consecutive days, maternity leave, family & medical leave, and leave for jury duty.

Holidays
Faculty receive the following holidays which The Pingry School recognizes during the year: Labor Day, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Thanksgiving (Wed-Fri), Winter Break (two weeks), Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Spring Break (two weeks), Good Friday, Memorial Day.
