The John Taylor Babbitt ’07 Memorial Field

Funds are currently being raised to construct Pingry’s first artificial turf field in memory of John Taylor Babbitt ’07. This field will be the first of several planned turf fields at Pingry, and will be used primarily for girls’ and boys’ lacrosse and soccer, and girls’ field hockey. We are pleased that parents in the Classes of 2007 and 2008 have chosen to lead this effort. The field, now under construction, is slated for a fall 2008 completion.

The cost of the field and the necessary site work totals $900,000. As of September 18, 2008, we have received commitments totaling just over $594,000 from parents, grandparents, and friends; however this field does require further support, which we hope you will consider. Gifts of all sizes are very much appreciated and will enable us to reach our fundraising goal.
