Miller Bugliari Memory Book - Page 6 | ||
|
Although I attended Pingry School (along with my brother Tony) from sixth grade (at the Elizabeth campus) in 1952-1953 through part of tenth grade in 1956, at the Hillside campus), I did not know Miller Bugliari from Pingry. I knew Miller from Camp Waganaki in East Waterford, Maine (owned by Mr. Lesneski the Pingry athletic director and coach.) Sincerely, Nils (aka Nick in school) Adlerbert ‘59 Miller was instrumental in my development as a soccer player and a goalkeeper. Although I never officially played for him (given that he coached the men not the women), working for him at the Pingry Soccer Camp and watching his boys' teams play for four years taught me a great deal about how to play, lead, and coach. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to him for all of his support, guidance, and mentoring. Dana Krein '94

Mr. Bugliari was my 10th grade Biology teacher. B/c of him, I STILL remember the pneumonic for class/order/family/genus/species. He would walk around the school, & when he saw you he'd yell "it is b/c of the bio!"-everything was bio! also, when he was teaching, in the middle of a sentence, he'd walk out the door of the classroom & keep talking from the hallway. We students loved it. Classic! Marc S. Feldstein, MD '82

Most of my memories of Miller from my Pingry days are 2nd hand from soccer player boyfriends, since I had someone else for bio. I would like to be able to access the site when it is available though and I will try to think if there is anything I want to include. Thanks for doing this – it is a great idea! Cheers, |
