please remind "coach" about those goal keeping drills of having to "catch the rings". the rings were tossed to my left, then to my right, then over my head for what seemed like hours are well remembered....... Of course we all have memories of Mr. Bugliari….both in class and on the field (such as “stop talking to the trees”). He was so committed to our success, and doing everything he could to promote it, that we couldn’t help but do better and be inspired. Charlie Homer (’72)

First of all we have to understand that Miller is a character in and of himself. There are none like him now and there never was one like him when we grew up together. I'll make his description short and sweet as I knew him in the 40's and 50's. 1) Miller only half dressed--- he always had his shirt hanging out and didn’t put it in until I reminded him. 2) Miller ate and left half his food on his shirt and face. 3) Miller knew more about any sports than anyone that I ever met. 4) Miller never gave in to any challenge, which was demonstrated when he overcame an ailment to his hip that kept him out of school for a year and when he returned he could hardly run. With unbelievable fortitude he trained and trained until he achieved the skills necessary to become a varsity soccer and basketball player. 5) Miller was a ferocious competitor. 6) Miller was funny, he could make anyone laugh. 7) Miller was smart but did not flaunt it. 8) Miller was stubborn even though he claims I was more stubborn he was definitely more stubborn. 9) Miller was (and is) a true friend and I love him like a brother. 10) Like the old expressions goes---"After God made Miller He threw the mold away."
