With 100% of Pingry graduates attending four year universities, the philosophical basis of the college counseling office is that "the match" is our most important concern; that is, matching the students with colleges which will allow each student to attain the best education, achieve the greatest success, and emerge from the experience as well prepared as possible to lead a productive, constructive and satisfying life.

With more than 2,500 colleges and universities available to our students, it is obvious that many would qualify as good "matches"; therefore, our function is to assist the student and the family in making the best decisions relative to applications and choice. It is fundamental to our thinking that the final decision-making role remains with students and their families.
