Visiting Professor Goes Through The Phages

Phages were all the rage in Mr. Hata’s general biology and advanced science research classes during a visit by Rutgers University professor Konstantin Severinov, Ph.D. and his associate Dhruti Savalia. Both guests work at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology at the university and helped the Pingry students learn about phages and bacteria by guiding them through an experiment using sensitive and resistant strains of E. coli.
