On June 10, 2007, The Pingry School held its one hundred forty-sixth commencement exercises at the Martinsville Campus, where 121 seniors graduated from the school. Headmaster Nathaniel Conard and Board Chair Victoria Brooks addressed the crowd filled with seniors, their family members, and educators. This year, Pingry had two valedictoriansJohn Kolb and Jillian Lubetkin. Russell Simpson, Class President, and Daniel Davidson, Student Government President, also served as speakers. Each member of the class of 2007 now joins a long list of accomplished Pingry alumni.
Dr. Kenneth Wachter '64 and Miller A. Bugliari '52 are among this group of alumni. Dr. Wachter, mathematical demographer and statistician, was recognized at the ceremony as a Letter in Life recipient, awarded for his steadfast pursuit of excellence and committment to education. Dr. Wachter uses the science of social statistics to help solve various societal concerns. He is also the recipient of the school's first Presidential Scholar Award. Miller Bugliari, who celebrated his 60th year with Pingry, received the Cyril and Beatrice Baldwin Pingry Family Citizen of the Year Award in recognition of his achievements for the benefit of Pingry's interest. The Class of 2007 was also an award recipient, receiving the first annual John Taylor Babbitt '07 Award for embodying the qualities that exemplified John's life.
