Pingry Presents Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass
May 9, 2003

Pingry Middle School students will bring a world of imagination to life as they present Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Directed by theater teacher Patricia Wheeler and assistant directed by senior Dana Zolli, Alice is described as “an entertaining and enjoyable production suitable for the entire family.”

The production features music by recording artist Vince DiMura, singing, dancing, and spoken word by a cast of more than 40 Middle School actors. Adapted from the Lewis Carroll novel by Adrian Mitchell for the Royal Shakespeare Company, this “great nonsense story” details the adventures of a young girl who follows a white rabbit and leads off into a puzzling adventure marked by memorable characters such as the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat. It includes the most quoted lines, aside from the Bible and Shakespeare.

“It’s a magical production, far more than anything we’ve attempted before. I’m really proud of it,” Patricia Wheeler said.
